Details Details Details :)

This last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of decision making. Even before the engagement, Matt and I had been making decisions about the wedding. I think we've known for awhile that we wanted to get married so making serious decisions was not a big deal. So! Here is a list of things we have and haven't figured out.

Have:
  • Booked the St. George Temple for June 29th at 8:40 a.m.
  • Booked the Rose St. Chapel for July 13th (6pm to 8pm)
  • Picked Out Color Scheme: Vintage/Sunflower (Yellow, Ivory, Hint of Brown)
Have Not:
  •  Everything Else.
We have a lot to do and not a whole lot of time to do it (110 DAYS!!!) Matt and I are blessed with amazing families and friends that are willing to help us which makes things a little less stressful. When Matt and I get married in the St. George Temple we will be having an Open House in Cedar City and then two weeks later in Moses Lake (July 13th) we will have a reception. His Grandma is throwing us the Open House which I couldn't be more excited for because she is taking care of all the details! The thing I need to focus on for the next couple of weeks is to start collecting stuff for decorations and then also getting a DRESS! Goodness gracious, I don't need only one dress but two. Not only do I want a wedding dress but I want to get a yellow sundress and cardigan to wear inside the temple but also at the Open House. Hopefully during spring break which is in two weeks I am able to find both dresses, at least one of them I hope :)

Matt and I booked the temple two weeks in advanced of getting engaged because we were told it would be a good idea to book the temple early since it quite a popular one to get married in. I wanted to let everyone know why in particular that temple was the one that I chose to be married in for time and all eternity.
Many years ago I remember looking online at all the temples in the world and came across the St. George Temple picture and was just rendered speechless. I had seen quite a few temples before finally getting to the picture and I don't know what it was but an immediate connection was made. It would be a couple years later that I would finally see it in person. During a two week road trip for my 21st birthday, we made a stop at the St. George Temple :) I remember pulling up to the temple grounds and that ability to speak was lost all over again. I walked around the grounds and the visitor center being in awe of the beauty that was before me. It wasn't until we were in the car and pulling away that I started to get extremely emotional. It wasn't sad tears either. I knew at that moment it would be the temple I would be married in.

There is a lot to be done like I said but I know it will be done because I have so many people helping out. I am so grateful for all of those people in my life that make it so much it better, you all are great blessings. I love you :)

Love,
The Future Mrs. Kelley
